YOU MUST RIDE WITH SOME SORT OF ID ON YOU
A few months ago a cyclist dear to my extended family was tragically killed in a road accident while out training. The end result of the inquiry into his death was that neither the rider nor the driver (of the truck) where at fault. Sadly he left behind a new marriage and a young child.
Fortunately emergency services on the scene where able to identify him as he was carrying ID, however all to often you hear about riders being taken down by cars and no one at the scene can identify them. we all like to ride with as little as possible, but ID should never be left at home. ID was on my “dont leave home without” list
There is a great product on the market that comes out of Erlanger Kentucky. Its called Road ID.
These guys make a very easy to wear, light, comfortable wrist band that contains all your vital information. i cant stress the importance of leaving home with some sort of ID on yourself, and this product will do the trick.
